About

My love affair with secondhand began in high school, when I landed my first job as a buyer at Crossroads Trading in downtown Portland—an upscale consignment shop tucked into the rhythm of the city. It was there that I first learned the art of the hunt: sifting through racks, recognizing quality, and uncovering pieces that felt both unexpected and exciting. I quickly became hooked—the quiet thrill of discovery, the sense that something special was always waiting to be found.
After college, I moved to San Francisco to begin my career in design, and spent my free time exploring the city through its thrift stores and hidden corners. At 23, the perfect Saturday was simple: a great thrift haul and the feeling of having found pieces that no one else would have in quite the same way.
Over time, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for garments that transcend trend—pieces with longevity, character, and a point of view. What began as a habit became a practice: collecting thoughtfully, editing carefully, and building a wardrobe rooted in intention.
I’ve always believed that great style doesn’t come from buying more, but from choosing well. Secondhand offers a different way of engaging with fashion—one that values quality over quantity, individuality over excess, and the stories garments carry with them.
tayloredcloset is an extension of that philosophy. A curated edit of new and pre-loved pieces, each item selected through a designer’s lens and a lifelong love of getting dressed. The focus is on timelessness, versatility, and quiet distinction—clothing meant to be worn well, loved, and passed on.
Because it doesn’t have to be new to be perfect.
